As I started to read this thread, I thought "Super, sounds like this might be something I would want to attend". And then I realized it's scheduled for precisely the same date as the Solvang show. DUH. Seems like the "international" players are on the Nordic list, rather than the Seattle list??

VERY strange scheduling.

I sure hope I can make it to this for a few hours. My wife and I have our first baby due a few weeks before though so it might be a tough sell.

Yes we did kind of poke the pooch on this. we checked on the other shows and even searched for knife shows in april but for some reason the Solvang show didn't come up. we were not aware until we contacted some of the makers. mistake on our part but????? some of the makers said they would be interested in doing this show next year though.

Well, good luck with the show, with hopes that it is successful, though no question that Solvang, held on the same date, will be a sell-out. If Seattle makes it to a second year, I'll surely attend.

Real nice lineup. I own items from a few of those makers.

It is a shame that it conflicts with Solvang as I am sure there are some collectors (especially out west) who would probably love to attend both.

For me . . . Seattle is a long way . . . and I am so busy with work that I am probably only going to be able to attend one show (probably Solvang) this year anyway (in contrast I attended four shows last year).

Anyway, good luck with the show! And I hope someone will be kind enough to take some pics and post a brief review here.

I'm very excited to have such a prestigious event to take place in the Seattle area. My thanks to Mr. O'Malley and all the makers that attend. My hope is that this gets the momentum to become an annual event.

That's what we are hoping also..

Betzner, I am going to hold you to that :)

I'm very thankful to have a show so close I can practically walk to it.
Thanks Dan and Bill. And, I thank in advance, all the guys and gals planning on coming to the show.
Now to make some knives...

Hey Bill, can you email me some info on the show? I may be interested in getting a table if there are any left.

I'm excited to see a show in the area and will certainly be in attendance. Looking forward to the opportunity!

I am thrilled to be part of this and I believe that it will be a hit for sellers and buyers. It costs a lot to fly to most shows and to have this in my back yard is going to be great. Friday before the show from 1pm to 6pm I am holding a pre funk at my shop and school there will be demos in both shops, with hot forges should the makers want to play in the fire or maybe some of the collectors want to pound on a blade as well as a chance to just mingle a bit. So if your in town for the show on friday please stop by. My shop is only 10 min from the airport. You can get more info at the link Bill posted. hope to see you there

I wonder if I have any ability to make it. I am in central WA. The Friday open shop would be fantastic!
