another thought:
I remember B/W commercials about Timex "Takes a licken, keeps on ticken" from when I was a pup.
How's about a Sebbie commercial?
"Sebenza, butt ugly, but beautiful"
"Sebbie, just a cut away for a lifetime"
"Do or die, sebbie is not a lie"
"Thru thick or thin, thru war and strife, Sebenza is the folder, that will save your life"
"When all others fail, Sebbie prevails"
"Sebbie!!..Strider folder carriers...eat your hearts out:p !"
"Sebenza, a Mayo in disguise, only better"
"Kill it, drill it, smash it, bash it, all gone, bye bye, but Sebenza is still alive." Nicholas Cage said that...really.
"I know a knife that lives on the hill, others won't do it but my Sebbie will" "left right, lefty left right le'eft"
"Sebenza, don't leave home without it"
"One life, one knife...a Sebenza is right"
"Call out!..1, 2, 3, 4...Sebenza!!!"
"Your life aint right, but your Sebbie is tight."
"Down in flames, but your Sebbie was not to blame."
"After months of searching, in the wilds of Africa, he met him and exlcaimed..."that's a Sebenza! I carry the same!"
"Senoir, I know not what you say...but my Sebenza is the only way."
"Sebenza, Sebenza, one two three, cuts and cuts, and will set you free"
"I search and search, but only can find, a Sebenza is best, for all mankind"
"Among all equals, there is no peer, with a Sebenza you go'est, and have no fear"
"Ta ra, ra boom de'ya, I got mine yesterday, Sebenza all the way, there is no other way."
"A knife is a knife, and then...there is Sebenza"
"Where no man boldly goes, Sebenza goes with him"
"Sebenza! The only word in folding knives."
"My name? Sebenza!"
"When all else fails, Sebenza."
"Once I had a Strider, now I have a Sabenza :D"
"You carry a Sebbie?!...Ooooh, I love you! :D "
"With Sebenza in hand, I conquer this land."
"There is only one folder, for all of man, you may see it here, Sebenza in hand."
"Sebenza, first to buy, last to sell"
"There's only one/for the closest one/Sabenza/Burma shave"
"Once I had a knife, but it broke, now I have a Sebenza."

sigh...I think I may have gone a wee bit overboard.

"Think twice, cut once!"...

Sorry, someone had to stay it.;)

"Sebbie!!..Strider folder carriers...eat your hearts out:p !"

Interesting thought. There's a time and a place for every (good) folder...

My old Strider AR and BG-42 Sebenza, both sold:

BTW, as soon as CRK gets my new S30V Sebenza modified and repaired, it will join this, my new (2003) AR:

Last shot. The Sebenza is a truly GREAT knife, but there are times when you need an indestructible knife.

Whoo boy, best of both worlds...one in the right hand, one in the left. Tough as nails and built to survive.
But if both are sold, what do you get by with now? Has to be a truely bad ass one to replace those two :)

My Strider Model 2 (spearpoint) SnG, of course! Here's two (bad) pictures:

BTW, rad148, thanks for realizing I wasn't trying to be rude by posting my Strider pics here.

I've tried a lot of folding knives in the last few years. I'm NOT a collector, I'm a user. Being a user, I've found I need 3 folding knives, for the different types of places I go:

1. Strider AR, basically a fixed blade knife that folds. INCREDIBLE ergonomics. A warranty that can't be beat. My favorite folder. Unfortunately, it scares people a LOT.

2. Strider (spearpoint) Model 2 SnG, Sebenza size folder that BEGS to be abused. Ergonomics at least as good as the AR. Same unbeatable warranty. Unfortunately, even with its stonewash finish blade, it scares people too much to carry in some of the places I work.

3. Large plain Sebenza. A true gentleman's user. It barely scares people at all. And, it has that blade. I LOVE the blade on a large plain Sebenza! It's a work of art, very usable art.

I just noticed from your profile that you're a technician. I'm a Canon Tech Specialist, myself. What do you do?

Wow Little,
I am humbled by your #022:eek: That is a great looking knife. Definately a do all for every thing type of blade. Wish I had the same.
As for tech...presently unemployed, but was admin for Unix/Linux/Solaris/MS servers. Downsized, as have many others been.
Still have knives, and my Sebbie...so all is not lost :)
And no, definately don't think you were rude...got Striders myself and love them. When outback Thailand jungles, they do the job without rusting up overnight. Is why Sebbies and Striders are good here in humid climate. Though have to admint that my Sebbie blade has developed a pit while my striders have not (just gotta love the Bos treatment).
