I bought my first CRK this past weekend. It is a small Sebenza with a graphic and I am in love. However, I can't decide if I want to leave the lanyard on or take it off. I fully realize the lanyard on a Sebbie is almost akin to a trademark but I can't decide if it has any practical merit. What have you other Sebbie owners done with the lanyard?

I tied my own short stubby lanyard on it and it comes in handy. It's one of the few knives I decided to put one on.

I like my small Sebenza with a lanyard... it helps pulling it out from my pocket.

I have my lanyard on both my large and small Sebenzas, but it's not really needed on the large one. On the small Sebenza, it gives you a little bit more to hang on to when you're holding it.

I use the lanyard when I use the leather pocket sheath, but I usually don't otherwise. All I see it as is a way for someone to snatch my knife.

Once I learned how to tie the Reeve style knot among others, I got bold and removed some and added to some to where there was none.

I starting doing lanyards that enhance a grab if you miss the handle scaled fully, yet are not long enought to get in the way or be grabbed by someone in a struggle to control the blade.

Other lanyards are to cure the oopsie-dropsies.

If I opt to remove the lanyard and later want to retie it, how difficult is this to do? Where can I get instructions?
