Not sure why but its very sticky blade now. It'll be my first time taking apart and cleaning tomorrow.

Tell you what, for such an awesome opener when glass smooth, it's a pain when it's sticky

After you clean it, be careful not to "pinch" a washer when reassembling. If its stiff when you reassemble after cleaning, then you have most certainly done that. I speak from experience :)

R u sure theres nothing on the detentball, I find thats usually the culprit. Get a can of air and try and blow it out or get a toothpic and wipe the ball this works 99% . If it was smooth before and then got sticky I would bet this is the problem, detent crud

Ball was fine. Was just crudded up and looks like I got something on the bushings that isn't coming off with solvent. May have to get some fine polish and clean them up. It's better but still not as smooth as when I got it.

Mine was sticky once. Couldn't figure out what had happened. Then I wen to put the jeans on that they were in and realized my dog peed on the pocket that the knife was in! Took it apart and the washers were green from tarnish. :) Cleaned it up with some solvent. Used some mothers mag polish on the washers and it was back to being smooth as glass.

Hopefully no one or nothing peed on yours :)

I use my sebbies in a wet environment a lot, so take it apart, clean, and add some lube. You should be good to go!

Yeah I got it a lot better. Still a little harder than I think it was. Just by cleaning and thinning out my fluorinated grease a little with some fluorinated oil hehehe. I had the screws a little too tight the first time I assembled. At least now it's live able, and smoother than 99% of the knives out there, until I decide if I wanna do a light polish in the washers.

I'd recommend trying this, as it has worked well for me and gets the pivot perfect loosen up all the screws. Snug them all, but don't tighten. Go from lanyard end to pivot and tighten with the allen wrench lengthwise, so you're holding the shorter bent end in your fingers. Tighten down as hard as you can with your fingers. That should be plenty. If you tighten it with the short end in the screw and use the long end, you get too much leverage and over tighten. Flick the knife open once or twice after youre done and its all set.

That's what I ended up doing yesterday Suzuki. Although I did take it apart this morning and spent a little more time getting whatever was on the washers off better. Also thinned my fluorinated lube out a touch more (with fluorinated oil lol) and reassembled. It's brand-new slick again. Whew!
