I like it! What does the other side look like?

To each his or her own!

But personally......that BYTES the big one ! !

It's a PCB over layer on the original front scale

well, it's no big deal .......just fun to play with it

what I found ,this kind of thin overlayer is a good protection for the Ti scale and bring a hi-tech looking for sebenza

Nicely done, Jonny but I have to second the YUCK.

I worked in Micro-miniature repair on circuit boards & stuff like that in the Navy for over 20 years. The LAST thing I want to look at would be a PCB on my Sebenza.

Besides, it's titanium. It doesn't need protection.

Would someone please hand me a mop. I must now clean up after myself. It seems that Jonny's sebenza caused me to lose all control over my bodily function. No offense, of course. Nice handy work, but it's like putting a silk hat on a pig (a la Goodfellas). I'm sorry. I must continue my mourning for your knife.

johnny, I think the PCB looks really cool. I may be baised because I work in the IT field. Am I the only one who thinks its cool? May I ask how you did it? Lots of details please.

Jonny while the PCB may not be my cup of tea I most certainly admire the precision of the work that took to get it on the handle. Did you do the work or have it done, or was it done by CRK?

And I don't think all the people that have been so rude to you with their comments have seen the possibilities you have presented if you did the work. But there has been a lot of that in this forum lately, regretfully. It used to be a really nice place to visit.

I can see all sorts of very beautiful options like a nice burgundy micarta or other color o your choice let alone any of the very beautiful woods, especially those that are burled.
However the PCB is a very innovative thought whether anyone likes it or not.

Thanks for the pic and the possibilities it presents!!!!

YVSA....I do not think we are being rude and ugly about this, but we are having as much fun as Jonny probably did making this thing up. I think we are all jesting a poking fun in good humor....Look at the smilie faces and frowns..no one means any harm hear my man

It is still a nice place to visit.

Well ..... I am ok for all the reactions

doing this is easy,
as long as you can have a PCB
then you can do it by yourself

if you have a Telephone card you can cut yourslf a thin over layer scale

and all you have to do
is get an umfaan and put it on
then you could have an unique colorful umfaan.....see
that is easy and fun to play with it ,
The reason i haven't done it
is I haven't got an umfaan yet....hahaha

alright ...here you go, some less yuck pics

I LIKE IT !!! would look great on a electronic techs work bench

gave me the idea of a thin layer of
Brazilian rosewood over a Damascus sebenza.

that would be a stunner.

later, mark

ps: looks r subjective but, everyone should
appreciate the ingenuity. GREAT pix also !!

Man Johnny, I tried doing this on my small Sebenza and now my computer doesn't work right
wink.gif
I plan on putting some carbon fiber on my handle when it gets here next week. Has anyone else put anything cool on their CRK?

<<<<new lrg, plain sebenza owner....do you have to get longer screws so that the knife is held together when you put an over layer on??

do you have to get longer screws to hold the knife together when you attach an over layer?
rob

nope ...

everything remains original , except the PCB

therefore no warranty issue
