Sebenza 21 Blade Centering Question

Hey guys, just bought a brand new Sebenza 21. After taking a good gander at it I noticed something about the centering of the blade. When the knife is closed, of course, the tip of the blade is dead center. However if you look at the middle portion of the spine, the blade looks off center to the non locking side. Is this because these knives are hand ground and the grind is off slightly? Has any one else experienced this? I absolutely plan on keeping the knife, edcing, and enjoying it. Thanks in advance for your input/ knowledge.

Really hard to capture from a picture but here you go:

Its probably a slightly uneven blade grind. I once had a small annual that looked like it had a bent tip which caused it to look off center. It was due to an uneven grind.

yah i would send it in for warranty if it truely bothers you that much. personally i would wait if its a user until it needs a spa treatment before having them regrind it.

I mean part of me wants to send it in but I literally just bought this. Kinda bothers me because I, and I'm sure quite a few others have such high expectations of CRK. I completely understand that everyone makes mistakes so I am not upset at all. Actually I will likely be buying a small unique soon. Might just have CRK check in to it when the scales get scuffed up and I send it to the spa:D

Really just wanted to know if others have noticed this before or am I just very meticulous.

Interesting, did you send it in?

No I didn't send it in since it was 99 annual with bg42 steel. It wasn't that bad though. I ended up selling it on the exchange fully disclosing the issue though. If you decide to send it in I'm sure they'll take care of you.

All of my Sebs are like this.

I am of the idea that it has to do with the lock bar. I have a feeling that it is not perfectly straight, and that there may be a slight bow in it causing the effect. It's too consistent with all of my knives to be a defect.

Hey CTS, glad to see you back on YT! Its interesting you say that because the other Seb 21 I checked out was also like this but the tip of the blade was actually off center. The one I bought has a centered blade at the tip but once you follow the blade up toward the pivot it seems to lean toward the non locking scale. I thought it was the lock-bar putting slight pressure on the blade. Could you make a video on this subject and possibly show me what your sebs look like when there closed?

Yeah sure I can do that, and I'm glad to be back!

This is what you are seeing exactly. I don't think it's a uneven grind or anything like that. As long as toward the tip is centered, than i think it's fine. btw..mine are all like this.
