In a few months I am planning on getting either a Large Sebenza 21, or a Sebenza 25. I've heard from many people that they are great and well worth to have. I want it to last for a long time and get my money out of it. I need your help on all info about both of them, and experience behind both of them. Thank You.

Get the one and only Sebenza anyone should get as their first sebenza. The large 21.

Everything else in the planets and stars will align themselves after you get the Large Sebenza 21 in hand and take it apart for the first time . You will hen see Five other knives Align in the Morning Sky the days after you get your 21 and you will know which other five knives you must have..

Thanks me later!

You should try to handle them before you decide.
There are quite a few differences to consider.
i.e. weight.
From what I understand the large Inkosi will be the successor of the 25.
There are also some options you can choose from like inlay, handle material and blade shape.

Both are wonderful knives, and neither is a poor choice. I have and use both; in fact, the 21 and 25 are the only knives I carry any more.

For the ease of cleaning, deep hollow grind, and quintessential Sebenza feeling, I would suggest starting with the 21. It is still my most carried, even though I do use and love the 25 design.

I've never handle a 25 but own a 21 and love it. I've seen a lot of people say they prefer the 25, calling it the perfect knife. I love my 21 though and the simplicity of the shape and how comfortable it is in any grip without any finger grooves.

Large Inkosi with inlay looks to be a really cool knife if you're willing to wait.

IMO however, large 21 plain with clip point blade is an excellent starting point and that knife will last for decades.

I have multiple 21s and 25s and prefer the 25s. The reasons are the larger and thicker blade and the near-flat hollow grind, the silicon nitride ceramic ball interface and the awesome lock-up sound it makes. The thumb ramp is more pronounced and usable and the additional finger grooves fit (my hand) really nice. Standard dual thumb studs come in handy. No tooling hole on the presentation side and the placement of the lanyard further away from the blade tip (prevents inadvertent cutting of the lanyard) round out the benefits, in my opinion.

The 21s are easier to maintenance, but after you work through the 25/Inkosi and learn the assembly process it's not difficult.

With the large Inkosi replacing the 25 you will get the added benefits of the single-side captured lock pin and the ball groove for added lock stability. I also think the cross positioning of the pocket clip to rest on the frame and not the lockbar is a good thing for consistent opening without inadvertent pressure at the closed detent position.

After you get to enjoy the 25/Inkosi for a while then perhaps your CRK disease will start and the 21 will be in your rotation.
