Hi all,

Just got my brand new sebby 21 yesterday and notice on the inside of both handles it is stamped B 09. Wondering what this means.

Thanks,
Serpico

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it means the second batch of handle slabs produced in 2009. Depending on how many CR runs in a batch, it could be marked "A", "B", or in a good year "C". I don't think it is any more specific than that.

IIRC CRK uses a b c d to represent the four quarters of the year. Each

letter stands for the quarter of the year it was made.

Someone with more knowledge of CRK feel free to correct me if this

isnt correct.

Nice :D

Seriously though, I'm pretty sure clockman is right, and the number refers to the year (and quarter thereof) in which the knife was born. Mine reads B 06, which lines up with the birth certificate.

I believe DallasSTB is right

Not year quarters, but Ti batch production numbers..
Which is why left over Ti batches may show up on the
next years' Birth cards (birth = assembly date).

-Lot's of December "C" 's out there, don't think I've seen a "D" ...
