I saw this posted in the CRK Facebook group. Its a 25 with a lanyard hole....Says he can't say where its from since it was a gift! What do ya'll think?

Not enough pics to determine if it's a clone or if it was done after market.

I will say it looks like it was done by someone other than CRK. CRK likes to contour the edge of the handle around the screws and lanyard pins. Note the way the chamfered edge wraps around the first screw in the handle (closest to pivot). Now note the way the lanyard hole on the 21 in the pic below has the same design cue.

The 25 here looks like someone just drilled a hole in the handle.

Rubicon makes some compelling points. I too would agree this looks like a well done aftermarket conversion. If it was from CRK, maybe it will be a sign that more changes will follow. Even after handling many 21's, 25's, and Classics, I still cling to the notion that the "perfect" sebenza could be a meld of all 3 together. For example, would love to see the bushing system re-emerge, the second finger choil toned down some from a protrusion to a slight bump, and add all 3 matched sized handle screws. Whether or not CRK decides to re-implement a lanyard hole is give-or-take for me but hope the center production hole on the 21's and others doesn't return. :foot:
