It was delivered on Wednesday but I had to wait to see it until I returned home from a business trip Friday. Luckily, I was busy on my trip otherwise the wait would have killed me.
The basket weave damascus is beautiful- very high contrast and with lots of layers (18 from what I can count). The computer graphic design (CGD) on the handle is equally artistic and the finish is very smooth such that you can just feel the pattern. The blade is sharp and with an almost mirror polish on the edge. I did notice you can "feel" the ceramic ball riding the damascus layers. Its not like a gritty feel, but no doubt the ball is riding the ridges as you open & close it. The standard Chris Reeve leather pouch is included (I use them for all my CRKs).
So you pay a premium but you get a knife that had lots of personal attention.
