Sebenza 25, buy it now if you have the fortitude.

The Birthday cards will be re-issued and changed, as was told to me by Heather. They were filled out by a newer employee that really didn't understand what exactly she was dealing with. I know this because I am anxiously awaiting for Number 13. If you really want one, another big dealer in Utah that is on CRK's authorized dealer list has number 9 for sale also. I can't wait for mine, but it wasn't perfect, so Mr Reeve won't release it until HE says its ready to go! His attenetion to detail and relentless pursuit of perfection is why I know this one is going to be a forever keeper! The price is worth it IMO

Good Luck if you have the fortitude & funds

Yeah, I just looked at that one. I wonder if these screwed up cards will cause these knives to be worth a little more in the future?

Nice knife, but to celebrate the 25th I would have thought something a bit more elegant would be in order. And talk about sticker shock.

Got the email! My number 13 is on the way. It will be delivered Wednesday. Might take the day off so I don't have to wait to Thursday to get it.

Will post pics when it arrives

Looks like I'll be lacking in fortitude..... till the production models come out :D

Yes, my fortitude is lacking as well :). Do you guys remember when DVD players were $1000? I can wait :) It's all good though if you have the cash for one of the protos.

Ok, my Grail has arrived and the card has been fixed. Lock up is deep. Even my dog was drooling while looking at, least I think it was his on the blade and not mine. The double finger grooves feel very comfortable to me. Double thumbstud is cool, but the jimping is really nice.

I must send a special thanks out to Mr. Reeve and company for making me a great knife and holding it to assemble it on my birthday. Not only do I get a once in lifetime knife but it's b=day matches mine.

Thanks again!

I love it and think all will be pleased with the new 25.

Enjoy the pics and don't hesitate to ask questions

Holy crap, Please keep me filled in on this. How does it feel off the get go? once you open it a few times fill us in on how the pivot performs and why three wrenches? I can only recognize two different size heads. Maybe one to hold backup on the lock bar side pivot?

Congrats....thats freaking sweet.

Oh man, that's awesome. I can't wait to get mine..congrats to you, and feel free to post more pics etc...:D

Yes, the two larger wrenches are 1/8 for both sides of the pivot and a traditional 5/64 wrench for the smaller.

Opening it is silky smooth. Kinda between the Umnumzaan and the Large 21. Not as stiff as the Umnumzaan but not quite as loose and easy as the 21.

Any pics you folks want just ask, but I will have to PM or email them to you. Can't seem to load pictures much more than 1MBResizedImage_1343280193536.jpg

What is surprising is how far the lock up goes, but the stronger the lock up, the more solid it is. Although I will carry and use this, I won't super hard use it unless life is on the line.

The extra finger groove and the jimping means it will definitely stay in place in your sweaty/wet/greasy/muddy hand. It also feels nice, more stable in a gloved hand. The extra groove really keeps it from moving.

Yeah, for those waiting, it will be worth it. The thicker blade will really make this a sweet heavy duty user. This is a sweet knife. Just a little bit thicker in the hand too will make it all the better for the heavy work. A great edc!

I can't wait for the options to come out, inlays, serrations, insingo.

Wow. It was worth the fortitude!

Still drooling after almost 8 hours. Will report back after taking it to work and using it tomorrow.

Thanks for posting the photos. How cool to have the card with your birthdate and the knife serial number of said date as well!

This just made the wait even longer:D

Excellent description. Keep us updated! That's so cool your gonna put it to work!

If you want to send me or someone else future pics, I can make them smaller than 1mb and retain the quality of the photo. Just an option, then we can post em for everyone to see.

Thanks Lisa, That miracle goes out to Dan at Plaza Cutlery and Heather for negotiating that one. I asked Dan and he and Heather were able to work it out. I also need to thank Heather again as she was the one the went to Mr. Reeve and asked him to do it on my Birthday on a Friday, a day they are ususally closed, and obviously he did it. So again thanks to all at CRK, your products and customer service truly a cut above the rest!

Hughes sent over some more photos. I re sized them, tried to keep them as large as possible.

Congrats and thanks for posting some pictures.

It would have been nice if CRK had included a wooden presentation box.
