Hi all, I've had her now for about 2 months and she has accompanied me everywhere. I put off taking it apart for a long time because honestly I love this knife so much I didn't want to chance messing anything up. I decided to be adventurous today and the process from disassembly to cleaning took about 6 minutes, didnt need a video or anything I just used bbw's thread that showed the knife internals. It went back together perfectly after being greased with some nano oil and I honestly think its smoother than the factory, was unsure about loc tite because I did notice a residue of something on the pivot screw but did not use anything putting the screw back in. I also took apart my cts Xhp Millie and compared the internals. I carried that knife for a year and used it hard cleaning deer, fish and about everything else you can think of , now I'm a huge spyderco fan but the difference in construction quality is absolutely amazing. Ill update after about a week if the lack of loc tite causes any issues. In conclusion I'm in awe of the quality of these knives and although I can't afford it I'm headed off to hunt for another one in the exchange after I post this! Thanks all.image.jpg

Next time you take yours apart you should make a video. I have been looking for a 25 take down video but have not had any luck thus far.

Anyone notice on the Sebenza25 the bushing around the blade stop has a flat area that just allows the blade to pass, and if misaligned either prevents to blade from closing, or other times prevents the blade from opening? It's wierd- the screws seemed tight, but the bushing rotated (kind of on its own) and prevented from being closed past 90-deg. Then when I adjusted the back screw a little (with the blade closed) it rotated the bushing and locked the blade closed! Just me?

I was looking at some pictures somewhere, and have a question. Does the pivot on the 25 rotate with the blade? What stops it from doing so, or is it designed to rotate?

On my 25, I can rotate the pivot screw within the handle. In other words, if I put an Allen wrench in the deep side and turn it, the other (male) side turns along with it.

That is why I claim I do not need Locktite on mine. It opens and closes perfectly, and the male and female sides of the pivot screw stay together in unison. So no Locktite is needed on my particular unit.
