Been less than a week and this thing is REALLY growing on me.

I've own hinderers, striders, and a few other customs and for me, I think the Sebenza 25 is perhaps my favorite. The only other custom knife that I handled that was smoother was a tom mayo, dr death; for $1600 it better be. The Sebenza Fit and finish is beyond incredible, everything is so SNUG, like to take the knife apart I have to wiggle and rock the pivot before the knife starts to get apart. ALL my other knives just falls apart the second you remove the screws.

In the past I never liked CRK because I thought it was "boring" never been so glad to be proven wrong :)

I bought one last week and was not initially impressed with it, but am trying to give it a chance before I either decide to keep it or sell it. Was kinda bummed because when I got it, there was a scuff on the Ti. I did not fret over it though because its a plain jane and would have them on after a week of carry anyways. But was still kinda bummed. Otherwise the knife is pretty sweet. I have always been a large regular sebenza guy and I dont see it replacing them, but its a nice compliment. The 21 has grown on me after years of not caring for it, so seeing all the beautiful inlay 21's, its opening up a whole new world of CRK other than just sticking to large regular UG/CGG.

I really like my 25. I have been carrying it clip less for a few months and it feels like the perfect mix of the 21,Umnumzaan,regular. I really like how it feels in hand. I can't wait until Lisa starts doing custom scales for it.

Hello my friend, I am still EDCing the large " In God We Trust " I got from you awhile back. With some of the things going on in my life, the saying has kept me going. I take the meaning of those words differently than they were intended, but it has worked for me.

I am still trying to give the 25 a chance.....lol.

I hear ya on scratches, I HATE them. I don't mind wear and tear like the edges rubbing off, but scratches annoy the heck out of me. Even thought about sending it back to CRK to have them refinish it LOL

Mine has a scratch up by the jimping. I was a little bummed, but like I said, its a plain jane, so will get them soon enough with carry. I figure it either came from CRK or the dealer, but judging from the million stickers and such in and around the box, I am thinking dealer. I am not accusing anyone, so am just letting it go. Not wasting the time or expense sending it in because in a week, it would look the same again if carried.....lol. I would buy from the dealer again, so its no biggie.

I have several CRKs. I carry and use all of them ALOT! It always botheres me when they get scratched. I did a scotchbrite finish on my Zaan and on my Starbenza so that I can touch them up easily when they do get scratched. They both look AWESOME with the scotchbrite finish by the way. I decided that with my 25 Im going to keep the factory finish and let it get that pocket tumbled look. It has been 4 months now and it is starting to get pretty beat up and I have to admit I am loving the beat up look. The more scratches and scuffs it gets the more character it gets. I find myself carrying it as my EDC just so that it will get beat up more! Im almost disappointed that I didnt do it with my other CRKs.

I have always said that every scratch or scuff on my sebenza is an adventure I had with my sebenza. Though this also translates to the umnumzaan and eek....mnandi as well.....:D

Have any photos of the scotchbrite treatment? :)

I personally dont care for the scotchbright treatment as it makes the knife super slippery in hand. I did it to my tanto zaan and an old large regular, later sold both as it just wasnt for me. Even well used sebenzas have that rougher finish that adds some grip to them.

Glad your liking the 25...!!!

+1

25= Legendary

Clipless makes it feel like a whole different animal. The clip wasnt as much of a nuisance on the 21 or regular but I just did not like the way it felt on the 25.

I love my 25. Heck, I love all of my CRK's but only like the Zann. I thinkI would like the newer Zann much more than my older version,but with the 25 here now, I haven't touched my Zann in months. Personally, I love scratches on my users and feel that it shows its own personality. I still care for them, but scratches are not worth worrying about.
