Sebenza 25 micarta inside scales have holes to be able to replace inlays

I got in a Sebenza 25 micarta today and took it apart for cleaning and noticed holes on the inside slabs where the inlays are, 1 on each end. I guess this means the inlays can be replaced or removed without breakage? Maybe a custom scale maker can come up with replacement inlays in other materials? Thought it was a cool improvement and wanted to share with you guys. Thoughts?
It is the 2 holes on the right, and bottom on the left. The top left os the divot for the bushing.

It might just mean they are easier to remove. They still might possibly break, but I don't know how it works and how high the strength of the micarta is compared to the tape. Cool find, though!

The Mnandi is the same. It makes sense as it means that the scale can be removed without having to use any sort of tooling on the presentation side that may scar or damage the edges of the cut out etc.

I have removed the inlays on a few Mnandis and have yet to break one, the M3 tape is strong and fights you, but gentle and constant pressure with perhaps a little chemical help will lift the inlay off. :)

Cool info, I have a Micarta inlay 25 inbound right now. I didn't realize until it was pointed out in the last few days that the micarta inlay 25 is slightly lighter weight than the regular 25 that has dominated my RFP since it arrived.

OP, pocket clip info please??

The slabs are a snug fit in the slots so the holes may be to insure they seat properly with no air trapped underneath or to allow air in to help set the glue.
