Hello

I'm thinking about buying my first Chris Reeve knife. Sebenza 25 in plain handles.
Would like to know how you like yours and any extra comments would be appreciated

Thank you!

It's a very nice knife, I like mine a lot!
I have many other CRK's and am very impressed with the 25. If you like a full size knife you could do a lot worse than getting a 25 for your daily carry. It cuts like a light saber, holds its edge well, carries well, and feels great in the hand.

Go for it and let us all know what you think of it after you get it.

I like mine, but I still have a few mixed feelings about it. One is that I really prefer the Insingo shaped blade, and I guess I'm wanting that blade profile in the 25..

Other than that..ditto what abominable said

Just recieved my 25 today. I thought my large wilson combat sebenza would never be taken out of the rotation. Oh how I was wrong. Mr. Reeve you out did yourself. 25 is the sweet spot.

My 25 kicked everything out of the pocket, altho she have to leave the pocket for a little while becouse of a broken screw.. ive had a hard time to decide wich knife to put in my pocket while im fixing her. yup in my eyes its perfection and its hard to go back!

I had the same question as the OP. I don't have a CRK, yet. I am retiring after 30+yrs with my agency in April. And I thought this would be a great opportunity to treat myself to my first CRK. I am a user and not a collector. How do you guys feel the 25 will do cleaning game animals, working in the garden, yard work and such? By game animals I am mostly talking about feral hogs and deer. The hogs have real tough skin, hair and grisle on them.

I don't know about feral hogs but It will clean a moose. :)))). Oh yeah the jimping is the best I have ever seen.

Also was wondering about the general impressions of the 25 since it has been out for a little while now and had a couple questions to add for the early owners.

AK kind of answered one, but how do the rest of you all feel about the purchase and functionality you get with the new jimping pattern?

So far I think I have read that the notch in the spine of the blade is a good reference point for having to do any blind work and is a transition between the rounded and flat portions of the blade (where the jimping is), is anyone aware of any other purpose or use for the notch?

The 25 looks like a well thought out design. The absence of the holes in the scales is a very clean look IMHO. Really hoping they decide to release an inlayed version as well, love the two piece inlay on the 21s but a single solid piece of micarta in there would be sweet too. Maybe something different all together would be cool to really set it apart...

Thanks everyone
