Sebenza 25 pocket sheath

Hey guys. So, just ordered a 25 from Derrick and Greg over at KSF. I am pretty darn excited to get it, I gotta say. So, let me talk a bit more about it to calm my anxiety while Im waiting for her to arrive!

So, this brings me to a couple questions on carry...
I was about to put an order for a CR pocket sheath large, but deciding between that or the KSF main street pouch. OR, anything else Im not thinking of along the same lines. I have had the Main street before, and just love it. In fact, you guys talked me into one recently to try for another knife, and its just beautiful and well made. Now, for a couple dollars more which I couldn't care less about, we have the Chris Reeve calfskin pouch, that also looks very nice.
Seeing how its a CR knife, I was leaning towards the CR sheath, but hey, any opinions or suggestions, please tell me. Again, they both look nice, and I was thinking keeping with the CR theme on this one, unless for some reason you guys just don't really like the calfskin pouch for actual carry.....?

Then, on a side note, it seems nobody has any Clip Insert pieces in stock for removing the clip. So, Im assuming I should probably get that from the factory? Does the CR shop ship quickly? Or should I try to find a vendor, as they seem all out of them. I still don't know if Im gonna keep the clip on or not, depends on how it fits my hand. But, i definitely want to carry this thing in a sheath. 450 bucks is a lot to just clip on my pants, at least for me.

So, how do you guys carry your large Sebby's? I see a bunch of threads about how to carry smalls, but the 25 is large so Im looking forward to seeing what you guys prefer.

I'd say you wait til your 25 comes and see if you like the leather pouch it comes with.

My large 21 still is carried in supplied leather pouch, for me it's very nice.
 
Great choice on the 25!

I personally carry mine in the CR large pouch and am very happy with it, though I've never tried the KSF main street pouch.

Also, it looks like BladeHQ has the large clip inserts in stock.
 
The 25's do not come with a sheath.

I know the fancy inlaid 21s come with the CR leather pouch, but the 25 does not. I purchased mine separately.

It depends which Sebbie you are getting. The plain and Micarta do not come with one.

If you wear dress pants, the CRK sheath helps, but it is not great. In jeans, it is perfectly fine. At least I am assuming you do not want it to be noticeable by sheeple.
 
My 25 did not come with a sheath. I use the Large KSF Pocket Slip.

Im not crazy about clipping it to my pants due to its price, so kinda want a pocket slip thing. Plus, to keep the weight distributed a bit better I guess, the main street one I have works great for that.

You guys that bought the extra pocket sheath, how do you like it?

I use the CRK sheath with my 21 when I'm in my dress pants otherwise it's clipped. My 25 is also clipped. Never had them come out of my pocket yet.
 
Ok cool, I still don't know how I feel about the lanyard. But I think I will try to find a CRK pocket sheath then for now, thanks again.

No lanyard on my 25 but kept the one on my small 21 since I use the pouch at work and it makes it easy to get out. I actually don't mind it that much when it's clipped to my pocket.
 
Yea, I'm thinking the lanyard will help with the pocket sheath....they seem to just go together...

I really can't wait to get this knife!



edit: I just realized I lost my gold membership, and its apparently been a while that I haven't noticed. So, just renewed membership, but anyone know how long it takes to see the username change?
