Hey guys well I have been the proud new owner of a 25 for the past week. It fits my hand perfectly!

I did notice some unusual wear on the blade tang from the ceramic ball detent. It has become a little worse over the past couple days. The ceramic detent has even wore a groove where it rolls over the edge of the blade tang right before it locks up.

I'm almost certain the ceramic ball is harder than the steel blade and keep thinking to myself that this wear will get worse over time.

I don't remember my Zaan being this way and the lock interface is the same as the 25.

I really hope I'm wrong as I absolutely love this knife.

If you own a 25 can you please share if yours is the same as mine? Or possibly any insight into this?
Thanks

Pretty sure this is normal and nothing to worry about. The tang on my Zann looks the same. It broke in maybe 5% and hasn't moved in over two years. Congrats on the new 25!

Ive had mine for 3 months and it did the same thing at first but yeah just needed to settle in place its fine :)

I wondered this also as my Zaan doesn't do it as much as my 25 does. I'm thinking the lockbar is stronger on the 25 so that might influence the percieved grooving a little. If you try to feel the grooves there's not any depth to them, if they kept getting deeper and deeper gouging then I would be concerned. And if there was a problem CRK would fix it so no worries:thumbup:
