I've had my 25 for a little over a week now and I'm really liking it. Tonight I noticed that when my blade is closed the pivot spins around. Both sides turn if I pinch the pivot. The blade is still tight and had no play so I'm just curious if this is normal?

Not sure if it's normal, but it happens with mine too. And I've noticed the other screws on my 25 loosen easily. Every few weeks I'm tightening them down and I'm not using it too heavily as of late. Not happy with the issue.

The 25 comes with locktite in the box. Use it and the screws shouldn't keep backing out. The 25 doesn't have the bushing system and you can over tighten the pivot screws, so it may be a little looser than what is typically normal for a CRK. Even tough mine cannot be moved by hand, it is not as tight as I get the 21. The frame screws on the 25 are as tight as the 21 and I don't have an issue with them backing out.

That is "normal" and can be found on a number of knives. There has to be some clearance at the pivot or the mechanism wouldn't work. On knives like the Umnumzaan and 25 with a pivot that is locked it basically becomes a single piece so you can more easily move it. You will find the pivot is harder to move when the blade is in the open position because the pivot then takes up its role in the lock up and is braced. :)

If found the pivot on my 25 spinning once after owning it for a few months. I took it a part, cleaned it, added some CRK grease and then used some locktite. It was smooth again and no more spinning pivot.

True. I've not locktited it at all. And I have dropped it on concrete every now and then. Yeah that doesn't help.

Figured it was probably normal but since it's my first Sebenza I would check here to make sure. I did have to put some loctite on the stop pin screw's because they kept coming lose but after that I've not had any problems.
