Sebenza 25 ruined my...

I've always been a fan of knives, but wouldn't spend over 100 dollars on a blade, I consider myself a user, definitely not a collector. Well my edc rotation, while not really a rotation, has been ruined by the 25. I would carry a Spyderco Endura 4, a Benchmade Volli, or the ZT 0301, depending on my mood. Really enjoyed the ZT. About a month ago I purchased a 25 to add to the user list. I have not been able to put one of the other knives in my pocket, not for lack of trying, but the Sebenza gets better, or just feels better after each day of use. Has anyone else decided to use the Sebenza and have trouble actually carrying one of your other knives for the simple reason that the Sebenza is the perfect edc knife? I wanted to post pictures of it after this month of use, but will have to do so later. It would also be nice to see some heavy users that have replaced or almost replaced your other edc knives. Just to kind of see how well this thing will hold up after some years of edc punishment for lack of a better term. This is my first post on the site, although I've been spying for quite some time.
 
Congrats on the 25! The more you use it the better it gets! Soon, you'll find yourself wanting an Umnumzaan, then an Insingo, then an.... Hahaha, it just keeps going and its a great ride ;)
 
Thanks, I'm regretting buying the Volli and ZT because I would have already purchased an Insingo. Should be the next purchase when my Lady forgets about the 25. lol
 
Welcome to the madness. I have the same problem with my other knives. I've bought 2 new and newer model Spydies quite recently and

just can't seem to carry/use them. They're both great knives, but sooo much different than my CRK's.
 
I have a lot of really awesome knives. It is a shame they never get carried.

I definitely have had the same issue as you, for a while now. :)
 
I hear you. I have a 25 (at the Spa) and an Umnumzaan, and am currently in the process of selling a bunch of the other knives I purchased over the last 6-months. That's not to say the CRK is better--I just know what I want. I'm planning on getting a 21 next. The only non-CRK knives I couldn't let go were a Spyderco Native 5 (in S110v) and the Spyderco Sage 2.
 
There are only two types of folding pocket knives in my world, and those are Swiss Army Knives and CRK. I also acknowledge 'old timey' traditional pocket knives, but I don't own any at this time. After owning a Sebenza, most other knives don't interest me anymore. A good SAK, and a nice Sebenza are where it's.

I felt the same way. I still admire the Sebenza very much.
I'll check back in 6 months. :D

Yeah, I've got a few other nice knives that were gifts from the wife that don't get any carry since I enjoy carrying a CRK so much, and it does make me feel bad. My solution is to let her gift me the next one in the coming months, and it'll be my guilt free main EDC.
 
Yep, same here. The sebenza has spoiled me. I have some other folders. Really good ones, but never carry them because the sebenza is just perfect. It doesnt matter what sebenza it is either. The 25, 21, Regular, P. All work the same, ALL are perfect. The Regular is my favorite, but just having the privilege to use the others works for me......I will pick up another folder to use and its just not the same, just not enjoyable. Yes, the sebenza has spoiled me.
 
Wow just like my friends have stated already. You got it bad! The perfection of the sebenza is unquestionable. You chose well my friend.
 
Congrats on the new purchase! It was a great one and well...welcome to the sickness. :). I routinely carry every style of CRK and no matter which one that may be they all just get better and better. My preference is a Large Regular but no matter what you carry you still know how it feels to hold and carry the best edc on the planet.

same here, just got mine over the weekend, and I haven't even touched my ZTs or benchmade. It truly is the perfect pocket knife to carry. I like it more and more everyday. I wish I could go back in time and invest every dollar I spent on knives into CRKs. I'd probably have about 2 lol.
 
I have been on a ZT and Kershaw craze lately, but seeing my 0452 with its shiny S35 blade made me think of my Sebenza's all packed away in my knife collection bag. I missed carrying them, now I want to make an addition to the CRK family, maybe a Umnumzaan or a 25.
 
I have been carrying my 25 mostly. Just an all around beautiful knife. Once in a while a ZT or something else will find its way into my pocket, but not often anymore.
