It became the inkosi. So not really discontinued. I can’t remember the exact similarities, but it basically just has a new name and some minor design changes

It became the inkosi I believe.

Gotcha , I owned an Inkosi and it was nothing but a shadow of the 25 even the micarta inlays are nicer looking !

Some folks never felt the 25 belonged to the Sebenza family, so after 4 short years, the 25 was retired and evolved into the Inkosi. There were a few changes made that are actually better. The washer tab on the 25 is a PIA, you have to position the flat spot on the blade stop pin correctly or the blade will not close.
Personally, I prefer the 25 over the inkosi. I’ve got 5 including a prototype. The changes weren’t significant enough for me to replace the 25’s I have.

I’ve owned 4 inkosis and 1 25 through the years and I prefer the 25. I’m down to one inkosi now but I’ll likely sell it at some point. I just think all the little ā€œquirksā€ that make the 25 tick are neat. All the extra steps in production that were made to cut a notch in the stop pin and the whole washer ordeal. It seems to me that the ā€œimprovementsā€ of the inkosi were designed to make it cheaper to manufacture. (Save for the clip positioning, which I admit is horrible on the 25 but easily fixed by shortening the clip). Plus te 25 is a neat piece of crk history

Thanks for this, šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘
I've been looking at a L 25 inlay.

my brother who introduced me to CRK really likes it , he has the Sebenza Classic and he really puts it thru it's paces 18 yrs. he has had it apart 4 times has the washers that are flat, plain he dressed 5 deer with it and as he says " the Sebenza will take anything you can throw at it and ......... do it in style" šŸ¤— he says wishes he checked out the 25 when it reached the public.

My first CRK was a 25 PJ and although ai sold it, I purchased two 25 inlays immediately afterward, a right and a left.

They are solid knives. I have an Inkosi as well and to me the differences are minimal. I like the 25s.
