A box from Idaho was waiting for me when I arrived home this evening! I opened it up and walked towards my wife, who immediately told me to “tell your knife internet friends because I don’t care”. Anyways...
I ordered this one the day the reservations opened last year, and it is finally here! Perfect finish, and the color and grain of the wood is really nice. The action is stiff but will loosen up soon enough, and the lock is tight (no play) yet easy to disengage. I do have a question for you fine folks that have a 31:
I ordered double lugs and there is a relief on the lockbar. I don’t have a comparison so I am not sure if that is on every knife or specific for the doubles like it was on the regulars. Can someone help me with that please?
Not my best photography work (and they insist on loading sideways), but without using natural light it is the best I can do:confused:

I think it needs a friend, but trying to decide between ebony and box elder will be tough!

Haha, those wives. The ebonies look very nice indeed.

Sweet knife, IMO, box elder would off set the darkness of the bog oak and look good next to that one.
I don't have any 31's, but on the 21's the cut out is the same on both single and double lugs.

Box elder would be my choice. To answer your question, and say what others have said, on 21s the cut out is the same for single and double lugs. Never handled a 31
