Interesting article in the latest GUNS magazine (August 2005) regarding the two premier knives from both companies.

At the risk of violating some copywrite laws (there are three wires coming out of my phone and a truck camper parked in front of the house) it was quite benign. Surpisingly the nod for craftsmanship went to Chris and the "Holy Cow" award went to Strider. Pretty much a tie. I don't think these major market magazines want to start wars. It is just a good thing that they review knives at all.

Surprisingly????? No new info here really, IMHO!

Both make top notch knives all the way. Even Mick Strider himself has given praise to Chris for his knives. Just shows the makers can be much less rabid than the fans :D I don't know why theres always such a fuss about which one is better. I own and use knives from both and wouldn't want to have to choose. (sorry for the side rant)

Both brands arrive at their individual excellence from different directions. I have some of both also and they are each excellent examples of craftsmanship. That was the conclusion of the article, and I think, rightly so.

buy one of each and decide for yourself!

dont go on anyone elses opinion...they aint cheap!!
