I just got my first small sebenza! and, after a few days of playing with it, the anodizing on the thumb stud is wearing off already... whats up with that? is this common?

Usually the annodizing will wear off the rub area's of the thumb stud pretty quick. All of mine have achieved a 2 tone look, then it will stop.

If you don't like it that way, I have heard many people use Flitz to take the rest of the annodizing off to make the stud silver. You can also do it to the back spacer to go for that "all polished" look.

Guys

I have not looked real close at the Sebes. If the studs are removable and are ti, I would be more than happy to re-anodize them. No charge, just my way of giving back to the forums. It only takes a minute to do anyhow.

Well, lets say $1 for return shipping in a padded mailer.

RW, they are a press fit and not readily removable but an admirable offer none the less!

ps
mine have also worn a bit but nothing too great to worry about...

I've noticed the same on mine, but the change in looks is so subtle, IMO, that it makes no difference and doesn't effect the looks of the knife at all.

BTW, that was a very generous offer by RW.:) :)
