I know I have seen threads/posts speculating about it but have never seen one. This appears to be a Sebbie conversion to D/A on PVK. The 'V' stamped on the 'offside' of the blade appears to be from Butch Valloton. Does anyone know anything about it:

Looks like a Valloton conversion to me. Judging from the pictures and what Butch usually does, it's probably something like this.

Back side of the scale has been milled out to fit the release mechanism. The embelishment on the front is probably the release. The little dots you see are probably screws from the plate holding the stuff in, screwed in from the other side. I'm guessing it's a leaf spring, but I don't see any way to do that without having the spring exposed from the open spine of the knife.

Edited. Scratch that. My bet is on a torsion bar mechanism.

Just my guess. Looks cool though.

found them on the net for right around 700 bucks with the most plain of the sebenzas he also says he wont do them custom with graphical or damascus sebenzas because he has to grind into it to make the mechanism work.

How can I get my hands on one? Is there any way to get in touch with Butch? I did a quick search on Google and came up with nothing. Thanks!

In the cleaning "sticky" thread it says, "Flick the knife open once and you are ready to go. This is the only time flicking is advised!" Being an auto can this be good to be flipped open so hard so many times? It seem like those hand fitted bushings are taking a beating on these autos...
