Sebenza belt sheath

I highly recommend the Chris Reeve Leather Sebenza Belt Sheath made by Gfeller Casemakers. It is extremely well made and very secure. They come in black or tan leather. The tan belt sheath develops an awesome patina!

Absolutely true on every point. Go with the tan.
Also they are made to wear either horizontal or vertical. Little details like the back of the snaps on the inside of the sheaths are covered so the metal will not touch the knife.

I've been contemplating getting a clip filler plate and a sheath lately. I don't normally like belt sheaths, but if it allows horizontal carry, i'm all about it.

I have on of the Gfellar cases, but I'm looking for something with an open top. I did find a few on ebay, so I might take a chance there.

I make sheaths for a hobby and give away most of my stuff to friends and family , but I decided to make a sheath for my small 21 that would be just for me . well it appears I'm a picky customer because I've thrown away 3 attempts so far .
I suggest to anyone thinking about a sheath . Try making it yourself , it's not that hard or expensive . It's a great way to spend the evenings and it sure beats watching rubbish on TV :)
Here is a pictorial account of the Birth-Short life -Death of a Seb sheath .

This one did come from the bay, left handed version

Paul Long ("sheathmaker" here on the forums) made this one for me a couple of years ago. I don't recall what the inlay is but since Paul is in the Texas hill country I'm guessing it was chupacabra. ;)

Maybe Paul Long has some more "chupacabra" I sure would like a sheath like that for my SR-1.Gorgeous leather.
