I've been using the CRK pocket pouch for my small sebenza for a while now. I'm looking to switch up how I carry, but am not really digging the pocket clip (doesn't work as well with dress pants as it does with jeans). So I'm looking to grab a belt sheath.
The sheath offered by CRK is obviously of good quality, not to mention is versatile with CRK knives, being able to hold a small/large sebenza or an Umnum. I've been thinking about taking the plunge and buying an umnumzaan to complement the sebenza, so that may weigh into my choice as well.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good belt sheath?

Vess leather works makes some really nice sebenza sheaths.

With that said, I use a CRK belt sheath, have had it for a few years now. It works really well, is very stout and well worth the money. Very secure.

I use the CRK belt pouch in black, One for my large sebenza & one for my umnunzaan. They are the best, Well worth the money.....................

Sounds like I'm going with the CRK sheath

Thanks for the responses :)

the belt sheath holds large and small knives well enough based on an adjustible snap closure.

the claim is that it can be worn vertically and horizonatally. my expereince is that the horizontal carry does not work at all with anyhting but a very narrow belt, like the cheap ones you get with a suit from a department store. if the belt is a bit more substantial it will not go through the sheath in the horizontal position. i tried everything except waxing the belt. the sheath is too narrow horizontally. the vertical mounitng is OK but in my oppinion its a bit much for a knfe as compratively light as a sebenza.

i used the belt sheath with my umnumzaan and while it fits, its a bit tight. i belive the sheath was made for the slightly smaller large sebenza. the unumzaan lanyard is a pain in the ass with the sheath too. it should be removed to make it abit better fit.

hmmmmm.....I never had any problems with my large sebenza fitting at all. The horizontal carry, does require a thinner belt. but otherwise, it's a great stout sheath. Personally, I like the extra security of a well made sheath. Afterall, a nice knife deserves a well made secure sheath, just my opinion though.

"hmmmmm....." lol

its funny how reviews are a sensitive topic no matter how meaningless they are, like mine.

i will say it again.

there is no problem per se. the sheath works genrally speaking.

i am only saying that TO ME the umnumzaan is too snug a fit and that the lanyard looks goofy hanging out. TO ME, this is not cool. it amy not be a factor for others.

the sheath works well enough but its dissapointing TO ME given its horizontal carry capability. I simnply do not reccoment it for anyone loking for a horizontal carry. I would have gone another way had I known that 'fact' (whatever that means) before I bought it.

I hope thats OK.

no offence meant. all the best to you. :)

Here is how I set mine up, I removed the pocket clips on both my large

sebenza & umnunzaan, That gives you a little more room in the pouch.

I've installed the CRK clip inserts that look great and cover the holes.

I've installed the new style lanyard pivot bars on both knives.

I wear the pouch on my right side at the middle of my body.

When I put the knive in the pouch I put the lanyard out the rear of the pouch

And snap it closed. When I snap open the pouch I grab the lanyard all in one

motion and have the knive open and locked before it reaches the front of my

body. The lanyard has to rest torward the top side of the knife otherwise the

blade will start to cut into it. When its in the pouch and you remove it like Im

saying the knive is in your hand the right way ready for your thumb to flick

it open. All based on being right handed of corse...........................

Try it yell like it.

cool advice. i may do that.

i have clip inserts for my CRK folders.

that may do it regarding the snig fit for the umnum. my small sebenza fits fine with no lanyard, with teh clip on.

the unnumzaan lanyard is a bit much though. its sloppy looking, but that could be useful.

its too bad about the horizontal mounting though. getting that right for a wider belt would rock. :)

Use either the older style CRK belt pouch or a Lifters leather pancake sheath.
