Sebenza blade shape...

Just got my umnum around a month ago and i am already considering gettting another, :rolleyes:. I think im in trouble... I was wondering which blade shape you guys prefer the sebenza 21/25? Me personally i love the blade on the 21 (its gorgeous), the larger ramp on the 25 puts me off for some reason (love the grind). Did the 25 grow on you or did you love it at first sight? I know its another sebenza vs thread but i could not find one specifying blade shape.

They are both great but I have found my 25 to be easier to manipulate in hand & work with. My needs are to be able to use a knife with either hand & although some of my other Sebenzas have double thumbstuds I have not found them to be as easy to open. Anthony
 
My vote goes for the Seb 25. It has a weird characteristic in that being the same size of the large 21 and the Umnumzaan and yet for an illusion-type effect, the blade appears smaller and less aggressive. I never noticed it before until another member pointed it out. The other reason is the 25 blade shape more closely resembles that of the Large Regular sebenza, a blade whose beauty I have yet to find an equal. If you really dig the Umnumzaan shape, I would recommend the 25.
 
The 25 has grown on me, I absolutely loved it when I got it, but the way it fits in my pocket, the ergonomics, the detent, solid lock up. And it's beautiful, I like the blade that's why I went for it, looks Kool, but I think I can pull it out in public and not scare any sheeple too. Just the perfect size and weight I think, that's why it has grown on me.
This was my first crk, but not my last.

The large regular sebenza blade profile has always been my favorite. The sebenza 25 is pretty much the same profile but intead of the regular sebenza blade dipping down near the point, the 25 keeps on going straight. Both are my favorite. Have never been a fan of the super pointy 21 blade profile, many like it though.
 
:p well juts placed an order for a 21 ebony inlay. Im feeling a little guilty but hey the 25 wasnt my cup of tea. Thank you for the input! My bank account is looking at me funny and now i get to endure the agonizing wait. :D
 
After having the 25 as my main edc for a couple of weeks, when I go back to my 21 it doesn't feel as solid as the 25, don't get me wrong, I still love my 21 but I prefer the blade, weight and overall feel and design of the 25, just my personal opinion.
 
I think you'll be very happy with the 21 inlay - congrats in advance.

I very much love the 21 "pointy" blade as I find it most useful. It is well supported by the spine which stays wide quite a good ways out. I find it more useful than my Zaan's blade, and thus feel you made a good choice over the 25. There are some design features that the 25 incorporates that I am not fond of. If I wanted that blade shape, it would be a Regular for me (although I do wish there was an option for the 25's blade grind on the 21).
 
Ive held the 25 but never used it.

just by experience of using 21, I prefer the shape and grind.
