I've noticed that the blade shape on Sebenzas varies from a drop point to more of a straight back clip point. My large has the drop point look, but most others I see have the straight back look with a narrower point. Is there a reason for this?

The "Classic" style has a different blade shape. Go to www.chrisreeve.com and check out the Classic 2000 Sebenza. It showas a picture of two different blade shapes. Hope this answers your question.

I remember hearing that the blade shape had to be changed a little when CRK changed the handle profile. I'm not exactly sure why this had to be done on the large only though. If you compare a classic Sebenza to one with the new handle style (both large) you will see that the new one is a bit shorter so that it fits in the handle. I think the point became more dropped due to that slight shortening.
