Could someone post a side by side shot of the tips of a classic and regular sebenza as seen from the spine? I am contemplating regular vs classic, and it has come down to which has the sturdier tip.

Thanks,
Andy

I'd say if you are looking for tip strength then try one of the new NICA large Tanto Sebenza's. Hard to beat! ;)

The regular has seen a lot of use...the classic almost none. The regular tip has been rounded somewhat from a Spyderco Sharpmaker, but you get the general idea. There are no grind changes to the blades.

Regular on left. Classic on right.

The large regular's tip is slightly thicker than that of the large classic. There's less difference in tip thickness between the small regular and the small classic.

I wonder if you could talk CRK into selling you a regular style blade to put into a Classic knife. I have a Large Micarta classic that I love, but I think I like the Regular style blade better since it looks stronger and probably able to deal with more hard use. Though, I suppose the classic cuts a touch easier.

Any thoughts on that?

I think a better solution would be to send a regular to on of the three or so seb modifers and have them grind a classic style handle notch.

It ain't happening. This has been discussed here before and even tried. The Regular blade won't fit a Classic handle and vise-versa. Something to do with the detent and blade length. The factory is tooled up in CAD-CAM and can't do anything this special. Same reason why I can't get a stainless Damascus Tanto blade made. :(
