Finally got (ordered) mine. A beautiful piece. Now I just have to stay the course and use it like all my other knives. This is one that make me wonder if having a safe queen is a sin?

Better to be safe and use it from day one. Conflict over.

Congrats !
Those are great looking knives.

Is this your first Sebenza, and what size did you get ?

Congratulation's on the CRK, I love Carbon Fiber. I have two CRK's with aftermarket CF slabs.
No, it's not a sin to have a safe queen. It is a mortal sin if you only have one CRK and don't use it.:D

Got mine yesterday and it's gorgeous, the inlays are the matte carbon fiber which I much prefer to the glossy one they used in previous runs. It is beautiful!

I just got excited... Really? Photos please!!!!

Yeah, need photos! Cant tell how nice they look from bladehqs site.

Beautiful . . . but cosmetic. The real advantage of carbon fiber is how much lighter the Sebenza can be made if the entire presentation side scale is constructed of it. If you're going to go half way, you might as well go all the way and pick up the Knifeart.com exclusive Large CF Sebenza. You'll save a full ounce in weight (3.7 ounces for the Knifeart.com exclusive vs 4.7 ounces for the BladeHQ version) and $55.00 if you do. (PS: Believe me, I'm not saying this because I have anything against BladeHQ. Far from it. I consider BladeHQ one of the very best Internet outlets we have! I'm simply stating my personal preference is all.)

awww man! now I am loving the new matte CF inlays... I wish they'd have stocks on the ones with Ladder Damascus...

although, I am not a fan of the polished blade they're using now as I have one with a stone washed insingo blade... [emoji12]

I have the Insingo Blade HQ exclusive and I ordered the new one with the "regular" spearpoint blade. I think the polished blade of the spearpoint version does fit better with the polished presentation side scale, than the stonewash finish of the insingo blade. Just personal preference. Thats why I am very pleased to receive now the spearpoint version.

Are the CF slabs on my insingo (sse pics below) like the ones on todays spearpoint? Thanks for advice.

Stefan

From what I can see the carbon fiber on the one I just purchased is more matte (not shiny).
Great pictures Stefan!

Here's mine, it came with the blue hardware so I sent it in to be "fixed", it's been a wonderful user since :D

Thanks! For the information on the CF as well as for the compliment :-)

I have the impression too, that the CF is different. Well. I wait until I have it here and make a comparison then. Will see whether I'll like both and appreciating the difference, or whether I'll like one over the other.

They look really great as is, but I think I would like a version with blasted scales and a tumbled blade better than my Micrata versions.

I wonder if CRK would blast the scales on these if someone wanted that. I would think they would.
Anyone asked them ?

If they(KA) had offered these in a tumbled and blasted version I would've bought one the first week they came out.
