Hey guys, so I've REALLY wanted to get my hands on a Large Micarta Sebbie, and I was curious if there was a huge difference between the two. A member on here offered me a well-used classic for about the price of a small 21 plain, and though it seemed like a good deal I was wondering if there was any reason I should go for a 21 instead. Thanks for the help! :)

No, there's not much of a difference.
I prefer the Classic myself. I like the Classic stamp, and the detent on the 21's I got was a little stiffer than I like.
That may not have had anything to do with the designs though. I may have just gotten a few that happened to have a stiffer detent than my Classics.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't really know much about CRK's so I'm hoping to get to learn a bit more in the process. Are Classic CRK's more collector's pieces? If so I may just pass because I'm looking for one to really get to use and enjoy, and would rather let the older pieces go if they're more rare.

You'll pay a bit more for a Classic or a Regular than for a model 21. But folks carry any of them. They last forever...if you need it sharpened or want the scales to be redone, then a spa job from CRK and you're good as new.
I've not had any "annuals" but a fair number of Classics and Regulars and of course, 21's. I prefer the Classic; I have a large and a small. The large fits my hand better.
As long as you buy it "reasonably"...you're recover your money when/if you sell it again. Just keep an eye on the ads, and take note of what they go for. And there's nothing wrong the 21's either, for that matter. I just like the general design (lockbar cutout for the thumb) better of the Classic.

Thanks. What are the size/design differences?

The differences between the Classic and the 21 are very minor - little details like how the scales are chamfered. The basic sizes are the same - a large is a large. There have been threads in the CRK subforum on the differences, and I don't store all the details in my head - I think that you'd be happy with either. FWIW, I have both Classics and 21s (as well as Regulars) and I think the differences in detents and smoothness are a knife to knife variable, rather than a model to model variable.
