The Sebby was recieved today a ChaxKnives.A Hinderer Spanto Blade in M2 is being made for it. Ultra thin Micarta overlays in blue to accent the new thumb lug and spacer. This knife should be in the realm of K@ck#ss.I will post pics when I recieve it.

Chase is still working on it. He ran into a snag with the M2.Crucible told him they had it,he sent in pmt but then they sent pmt back and told him no gots.I told him D2 would be fine as he has that on hand. Thats all I have for now,I'll keep posting and when pics are available,I'll post them as well.

I know and wish the M2 or 3V could be used. What I will probably do is have a blade made down the road out of that meterial when it is available. He will have the pattern to do it still.

For those of you not firmiliar with the Spanto Blade Design from R.Hinderer, check out his website or look at the newest cover of Blade.

I recieved word the blade(M2)has solid lock-up in the frame and now the finish grinding will commence. I have two samples of Micarta coming in a lime/blue and a ocean blue to decide on. Using an extended Darrell Ralph Thumb Lug for easier opening.

So, you did get an M2 ?

You bet. He looked around for a bit and found some. He said he bought alot of it to have it on hand just in case of a drought. I'll tell you something, I get a weekly email from this guy and it is usually a paragraph or so long with updates. He has several full customs going right now and so that kind of contact is impressive. I will do more business with Chase.

The blade was able to be kept 3.7 thousandths thicker than reg. sebby blade. The blade is finished and is described as a Stryker/Spanto blade that promises to be awsome at the least. The inlay samples are on there way for inspection by me and to make a decision on color.

Sounds sweet. Any idea of when it will done from now? Also, how long has the total wait been?

It really hasn't been that long, about a month so far. I would suspect another 2-3 weeks. All the snow in the area where he lives has slowed him down but he seems to be on target. He emails me a couple times a week. I would surely do business with him again. What I may do is see if he can post a pic on this thread without the inlays and then with.

I as well Mat. I will post those pics ASAP, I promise. I am starting to get a little impatient but I understand this time frame is well within reason. I should be getting the samples for the handle real quick. From there, its making the scales and making a thumb stud.
