Sebenza Embellishments

I just bought a small Sebenza Insigno at the CA Custom Knife Show and I am embarrassed to report that it lives up to all the hype, which I had previusly considered excessive. Before.

But where I go from here? I don't want to buy another. I find nothing to like in damascus. I would have loved inlays, but found out after that you have to buy a knife with them, CR doesn't install them later.

So...

1)what embellishments are possible? Where? How much?

2)do any of these void the warranty?

Thanks for your input. This is one hell of a knife.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I wanted to say welcome to the family! :D

Buy another! I know you say you dont want to but in the long run it would prob be cheaper and easier overall to just grab another one with whatever inlay or model you like! Use the one you have, enjoy it and look around at all the various Sebs out there! Sebs are like Lay's potato chips!! Betcha cant just have one! Ha! Chris Reeve Knives do live up to the hype. They are that good! I own more than one CR. :D

+1 for the insingo! Of all the knives I've handled and owned, small insingo remains my favorite.

Or you could start pimping it out with lanyard beads, Tom Anderson makes some cool yet decently priced ones. CRK makes some themselves. I know truenorthknives.com stocks a lot of them....after that, I'd suggest getting some good pics of it for posting in the CRK folders pics thread! ;)

Thanks. Glad to be aboard.

What does it mean to "work the scale"?

Am I correct that if I wanted another insigno with scales, I would preorder it direct from CRK?

One problem is that CRK and a custom from Gene Wiseman have changed my whole perpective on knives. And hence, my buying strategy. I already have two more customs on order, e.g. already. Unfortunately, there is just so much money in the world for knives.

There are a couple guys on the forum that make aftermarket scales in G10, and there are also options of having your titanium scale modified. There are photos in the pics thread.
