So for those who are multiple Sebenza owners do you find that there is any particular one in your collection that is built just a little better than the others? Or is the QC so tight that they are all created equal?

The only difference I've found is that the more they are used, the smoother they get.

I've had many different Sebenza's and that was the selling point for me that EVERY ONE of them came without any difference in quality. They were all of the highest quality! :D :D :D

Sebenzas I have owned are all of equal quality. However, not all were created equally - if that makes sense. The limited edition woodies, and Classic woodies have had the smoothest actions of all Sebbies owned.

The lockbar covers varying amounts of the back of the blade - from about 1/3, to one that covered over 90% (that one went back to the shop at Chris's request).

Edge sharpness has also varied a bit, but is of no real concern to me because I sharpen them anyway.

Overall, they have been the most consistently excellent knives I have owned or handled.

I have owned 8 Sebenza knives, presently have only 3 in the collection.

They were all very consistant and high in quality.

In fact, they were far better in fit and quality in comparison to four custom folders I owned costing 3 times the Sebenza price.

I've previously owned two small Sebbies and an Umfaan and I currently own 5 Mnandis. I can say without hesitation that the fit/finish and function were perfect on each one. ;)

I've owned about 6 sebbies in my time... actually, I still own them all but just gave two to my brother :p. I have noticed some differences in the way the knife opens with the lock, etc... but the quality of all of them is TOP NOTCH.

^^^Yeah That!! ^^^ :D

I have 4 sebenzas - 3 regulars and 1 classic. As far as fit and finish and quality they are all the same. What surprised me though is I have 2 moonsongs (one user and one safe queen) and the graphics are markedly different. On one the design is heavier and bolder, on the other it more delicate and not etched so deeply. The quandry is which one should be the user. Until I figure that out they are both sitting in the safe. Good thing I have a regular I use as my edc. :)
