MVG (Mike) drove up today and we had a nice lunch over an even nicer pile of knives. He brought up his PP3, a pre-production version of the original Sebenza I didn't even know existed until he posted some pictures here.

So to complete the family tree I added a few of my own, here are the crappy iPhone pics:

That is top to bottom;
Regular (Galuka) Prototype
P Sebenza
P #34 Sebenza
PP #3 Sebenza
H #32 Sebenza
South African Titanium Folder #30

Here is a shot of the H, a flat ground Regular, and Scott Cook's Lochsa #3

It was great to see a rare knife I just found out about, and Mike went home with a history lesson and some BG-42 and Ti goodness as well.

Good day overall, and great to meet you in person, Mike!

It was good to meet you James! You certainly have a wealth of knowledge and are very generous. Thank you for taking the time
to educate me on early CRK history and to illustrate it with a sampling of your amazing collection.

I wish I had taken a video as James revealed each of his Sebenzas from the earliest handmade South African and progressively
worked his way up until he carefully inserted the PP3 into the timeline. Then he proceeded up to the Prototype Regular Sebenza.
I will never forget seeing all those historic Sebenzas laid out on the table.

I had a great time and yes, I did leave with some BG-42 goodness and a CRK t-shirt. :D

Thanks again James...

Wow...wow....wow!
Thats got to be the Royal Family Tree right there. Im digging all those mirror polished blades.
And that South African Titanium Folder #30.. Is that the first sebenza design created?

Good grief!!! That has got to be the best collection of Reeve folders I have ever seen.

What a coincidence this thread resurfaced today.

I actually met up with James yesterday with the same PP3 Sebenza. There were lot's of nice knives again.

Ok, the next time you guys want to get together in Nor. Cal. Lunch is on me!! I will bring a drool cup!! (and a couple of knives) Thanks for sharing this fantastic thread again!!

Nice setup. Those pictures deserve to be preserved in the CRK photo thread.
