Sebenza for EDC

I have finally saved enough for Sebenza after quite awhile, but I am not sure what would be the best size for EDC. I usually carry either a Doug Ritter RSK-1 (large) or a BM Osborne, both of which have 3.5" blades. I am leaning towards a large Sebenza but worry that the weight might be too much for EDC. Any and all opinions welcome.

With the titanium scales you don’t have to worry about weight, but the large Sebenza is a large knife. I find it more comfortable/practical to carry my large classic Sebenza in a CRK leather pouch on my belt.

I recently ordered a Box Elder Mnandi, which will be my EDC for when I can’t carry a Sebenza in a pouch.

The small Sebenza would probably be a nice compromise between the two.

The large Sebbie is great for EDC. I EDC mine. Sometimes clipped and sometimes in the slip sheath in my pocket. I want to get a Mnandi & a small Sebbie.

I generally switch between Blackwood Mnandi (dressier) and small jigged rosewood Classic for jeans - it's a great size.
My large rides in a Gary Graley sheath. It's pocketable, but a liitle large for office EDC for me.

I had someone ask whether I was allowed to carry a "weapon" when I used my Mnandi (!?) to open a box...:jerkit:

... and this was in our sample/machine shop...

I always have a large seb on me (except at work and there I'm not without my African Blackwood Mnandi). I alternate between my large Micarta Inlay and my large NICA tanto. I don't find them bulky and I think that the extra length adds a lot of cutting ability that I think the small lacks.

Yep....,I too EDC a large regular in a belt-sheath,which helps me with the heavy tasks.
In addition I do EDC a box elder Mnandi :D to help me with all small cutting-tasks that don't require a blade the size of a large Sebbie.

I also found out that the large Sebbie tends to raise an eyebrow or two when deployed from my pocket  ,where as the Mnandi only gets warm admiration when people see it!!!:o

Got to get me a small classic!!!;)

I carry my large Sebenza to work with me every day, and I work in an office environment in one of the tall buildings in uptown Charlotte - go through security check points at least twice daily and the big sebbie has never drawn any unwelcome attention there or elsewhere.

If the large fits your hands well then go for it. The weight is really not an issues as others have said, and the size of the large should not cause any more concerns than the small.

I carry a large micarta classic with me everywhere I possibly can. It's the perfect knife. If you carry other 3.5 inche bladed knives the Seb will be no problem.

Get the large.

I carry a Small leather, but used to carry a large graphic, like everyone else has pretty much said the weight isnt an issue, it is a little large thats why I switched to my small. But its light so you shouldnt have to worry much. Just use it and love it.

My large flatground regular gets carried 95% of trhe time as my EDC.

I hae a small regular that gets carried the other 5% of the time I have to wear as suit.

I like my small classic when wear jeans and going to town. The small carries so good that I find my self carrying it more than the large. The small will do alot of cutting. Just my 2cents worth.

I'm in outside sales, and TRY to maintain a professional appearance, and dress accordingly..... and I carry a Lg Sebenza daily. It's not an issue at all. I haven't heard the 1st comment on my "pocket clip knife" .... but it's always there. I see customers in VERY BAD neighborhoods, and I have an Ohio CCW but there are so many of my customers that post the "no guns" signs that I have to leave my pistol behind, but no-one notices my Lg. Sebenza.

Small regular Seb' does everything I need to do . I ditched the clip last week and it maked the Seb' feel much more comfortable in use. No insert in the vacant clip locating space , I like it like that .

Paul.

large classic here--I don't find it too heavy or large for edc. It's quite thin compaired to some knives and considerbly smaller than my ring of keys...
