Is this normal, or have I just not been paying attention? I have a wood inlay and a plain as my last two purchases from Reeve. I just noticed holding them side by side, the inlay is a much smoother almost glass blast? However, it's supposed to be sandblasted. Also the wood inlay has two dips on the outer lock face scale where the lock bar cut outs are located. You can see the differences in the picture. Just wondering if it's normal. 20251202_171325.jpg

Do you think yours is glass blast too?
After personally holding both at the same time, I much prefer the finer finish, or glass blast. As a hard user, not abuser, I still might opt for the glass blast from now on. It's really nice in my opinion.

The one I have in that photo is a sand blast, but I have a couple that are glass blasted. Here it is side by side with a glass blasted one. I personally prefer the glass.

All of the current wood inlays are glass blasted not sandblasted. The dips in the lock bar are there as a cut off point when the scale is polished version
