Sebenza front flipper??

OK...got my Nomex suit on so feel free to bring it. I can't help but notice how little milling of the Ti scales it would take to expose more of the jimping on the blade tang. It would have to be done carefully so as not to expose the washers. With some difficulty, I can overcome the lock bar tension with my thumb, but can't really roll it over on my stock small insingo. I'm tempted to pick up a beater and give it a try myself. I can't be the first guy who has noticed this. Anyone ever tried it? If done to high standards, I don't see how the function or appearance of the knife would be compromised. I admit the mod is totally unnecessary, but a Sebenza is not really necessary either.

I've kind of tried messing around with opening it that way, but it's too hard to get past the detent

It works on the Small Inkosi!

Note: I mean this works with the small Inkosi in STOCK form with no mods.

I can open my 25 like a front flipper. Not actually flip it open but I can thumb it open the way you do with front flippers.

I can thumb my large Inkosi open using the jimping like a front flipper. I don't think I can with my small 21. I'll have to try with my small and large 21s

I agree, though it's not quite optimally set up for front flipping. When the "2017 CRK Wish Thread" was active last fall, I wished for a dedicated front flipper. I still wish for that.

(But I've got an even better wish for 2018--;))

Not sure if this was standard for the time but my 2012 Small Seb micarta has 1 extra row of jimping towards the tang than my others, it makes it quite easy to thumb open like a front flipper, it's the only one out of four smalls that allows me to do this.
