About 2 years ago my brother had his first child a son. Harrison who was 3 months premature and contracted spinal meningitis that caused cerebral palsy. My brother always liked my Sebenza 21 so I started hunting for the perfect one for my brother so I found him a night sky 21 knowing his love for the mountains and midnight camp fires. My brother is a hard worker and had some hard times before his son was born and missed out on a lot of great backpacking trips. so I gave him the Sebenza so he could have the mountains in his pocket . I also knew he was going to use the hell out of it. im a union ironworker and I got him a job as a labourer in a mine till I could pull some strings to get him in with me .I knew what he was going to put the knife through yesterday he asked me to sharpen his knife I didn't take any pictures before I cleaned it up wish I did I couldn't even oppen it I had to take it apart to free the blade he broke the tip off and got the blade stuck in a gear causing some deep goudges in the blade and saving some fingers in the process here are a few pictures after I cleaned it up and sharpend it he added the knew tip before I got my hands on it the bade was very jacked up but useable

Sorry if this is hard to read its being posted com my phone

Pffft, it looks like a safe queen to me.....:p

That's an interesting knife and it carries quite a history with it too. :)

My man that's not a 21, that's a Regular! Yea, I'm a nerd for pointing it out:p

Your a good guy, thanks for sharing

Good on ya for looking out for your brother! Touching story and it's so nice to see how much that knife has come to his aid.

Nice reg, I love that its been used hard:thumbup: I bet that the only Sebenza to see work in a mine, awesome!!. I think your bro might be in need of a sharpmaker.

You're a good brother. Now, you need to call up CRK and see if you can buy a blade replacement before it s too late, since they discontinued the "regualar" model.

Refreshing to see a nice regular being put to some use!
Great story too btw.
Best to your brother and his family as well.

Now that is a nice looking knife!

Great story! I like how you walk through life.

Awesome knife. Loooooots of character.

Limestone quarries are mines, and I know a couple that have been put through their paces in quarries. ;)

No blade play still feels like a tank and opens as smooth as ever once I cleaned all the slag and built up crap from 2 years of heavy heavy abuse

If anybody ever questions the durability of the Sebenza, this thread needs linked:thumbup:

You are a good brother... i wish my brother had an appreciation for knives.
