So I recently bought a large sebenza 21 and this knife is so nice. Now I'm at the stage were I want to buy another chris reeve knife. I have the opportunity to buy a CF small 21 but I'm torn because I also like the insignio large and the umnumzaan. I can get the cf small 21 for a shade under 300 the other 2 are in the 400 dollar range. I'm leaning towards the cf 21 but I'd like to know what your guys experience is with the small sebenza is. Has anyone bought the large 21 then the small and if so did you regret it ?
Thanks in advance

I started out with the large and was hesitant about getting a small because I had other knives in the same size range. Then I said what the hell, picked up a small and have been loving both sizes every since. I think I've got about 12 smalls now and love every one of them. I carry the small in my front shirt pocket and it seems to be unnoticed, been to the bank, grocery store and at work, no one has ever said anything about it. I have medium size hands and it fits well in the hand. I'd say try one to see if it fits your hand. When I use mine, I really don't loose any cutting ability like I thought I would.

100% get the small if it's a deal. They are a pleasure to carry.

Then a Zaan.

Then an Insingo.

Then a 25.

The small is very userful as it's easy to carry, the CF version even more.
You can use it with confidence and it goes anywhere you need it to.
I love the large, but I'm seldom without a small.

PS: welcome to the craze!

Large insingo is my favorite...3.5" blade is pretty much my go-to folder size, so that's no surprise. Being a slimmer knife, I find that it's perfect, even with lighter clothing.

I have a small insingo with cf inlays, but I honestly don't see myself keeping it...there's no situation I can think of that I wouldn't just as soon have the larger version. Maybe if I were using it in public...the small doesn't look nearly as dangerous.

I've only had one small seb, and it was my first sebenza. I only kept it for a month or so because I didn't like how small it was. It actually turned me off CRK knives for a while, until I bought a large one on a whim. Decided the large is the perfect size, so now I carry a large micarta insingo every day.

My small 21 CF is a joy to carry. Sounds as though you've found one for a great price. Go for it!

I'll suggest that there really is not a lesser knife here, they are just different, and people have preferences.

The price difference (I believe) is owing to the material difference. Smaller blade means less material, but more importantly, less machine time...so it costs less.

While the small is so well made, I can still actuate it easily with my large hands, I do prefer the large. That certainly does not mean you won't like the small...but I'd suggest you will probably like one size better than the other (and there is only one way to find out).

;)

i got my first sebbie for a while just like you,it's a large cgg one, it fits my hand very well, if i were you i would pick another large sebbie as my second crk. if i must choose the small knife,i probably go benchmade 484 with m390 blade which is more cheaper than small sebenza due to the fact i seldem carry a small knife.

I got a large regular first as well. About 2 weeks later i ordered a small micarta insingo and I love it as well. If I'm being honest with myself I carry the large much more than the small but still wouldn't let go of either . Go for the small cf it is a good looking knife!
