Hi
Has anyone considered or made any kind of cap or decorative insert for the production hole in the Sebenza's?
Could look quite nice!
Cheers

Quite a few of the unique graphic/cgg Sebenzas come with various stones secured in that hole. Other than those, I've not seen any sort of cap or insert.

You can send it back to CRK to add a cabochon, depending on the type of stone the cost will range from $106 to $130ish.

I'll bet I'm in the minority but I actually like the production hole, it's unique.

tritium would be nice. $100 for a stone seems pricey

I guess $100 doesn't seem too high to me since they have to grind into the TI and smooth it all out and fit the stone in there and make it look pristine, has to take a few man hours for the whole process. Man hours aren't cheap now days.

ditto on that, where are you going to find someone that will grind away at ti, be precise, and have gemstone or whatever to place in it. How much do you think they'll charge? When you order a seb, the cost of the cabochon is only an additional $35-55, it's when you send in a pre-existing slab, that it gets more.

Tritium insert would definitely be neat.

One could fill it with a mikture of glow-powder and super glue.
IIRC on CPF there are pictures of similar work (not exactly Sebies though).
Hope this helps

I love to see something in that hole.

The thing I don't like about the Chris Reeve cabochon is that they make the hole even bigger before they stick the stone in there.
