The Sebenza's are uncharted waters for me so I thought I'd ask you guys. I bought some knives from an estate sale and have little idea on age or value. I just got the knives, no boxes or paperwork. The large is monogrammed so that sucks but is what it is. The small is P marked. Both look early to me and have the partially groved thump studs. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I will post them on the exchange when I get them sorted out.

Chad

They're worth about the postage to send them to me...As a community service..I am willing to take on the task of proper disposal for you. PM me for my mailing address :D

Sorry if I've offended anyone by asking the value of them. Really just wanted to confirm what I had before selling a knockoff piece from who knows where without realizing. If this is in the wrong place or in poor spirit please feel free to delete. If I was more of a folder guy if just keep them but I have other interests currently.

I think they are the real deal. If interested in trading, please PM me. Thanks, Alan

Go look on eBay to see how much people are asking for similar CRK's and that will get you a ball park figure.

I've actually done a good deal of looking but have had trouble finding the older knives. On eBay most have been newer models. I would never have asked here other that I was baffled by the old knives being so much more money. Also most of the ones that have sold here don't show the price which I completly understand but here again makes finding a baseline hard. Thanks to everyone that have written with guidance. I really appreciate the help.

I would say around 500-700, max. Solely because these are collector pieces, and most collectors like to have all the box and paperwork. You may find someone willing to pay more, as those "P" sebenzas are quite rare, as is anything with ATS-34 steel, which I assume both of them to be.

Best of luck.

That's a good find even without the papers and such. You will not have an issue selling either knife.

Thanks for the responses guys. Here are a few more pictures for those who asked. I have also looked extensively for date codes and neither have them.

None that I can see at all. I'm not going to take them apart but have spent a lot of time with a light looking.

I would be very surprised if you find any markings inside the handles. That didn't start until mid-1997. From what I can tell, these are from the '94-95 time frame. Do either one of these have a pocket clip?

Neither one have pocket clips. The large has a leather pouch and the Small has a nylon. Definatly no date code inside either. I've called to see if there's any chance the boxes are still around but doubtful. At this point I'll probably send them thru the spa and have the monogram removed at that time. Thanks again DallasSTB.
