That was my concern exactly! Definitely don't want to do anything to screw up either knife. Maybe I should just buy a micarta inlay with a clip point blade.... Maybe a classic... Hmmmm, this has taken an interesting turn. Thanks! Each blade of custom fitted to each knife. It is not recommended. I've been the victim of a blade swap and most recently: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1363752-Sebenza-lock-up-problem
I actually called CRK about this last week and they told me it's $125.00, and to send the knife to them. They will swap the washers and the blade and make sure it fits perfectly, then send it back with your other washers and blade in case you want to swap it again. I'm going to do this instead of buying a new Sebenza, because mine is sentimental to me and I still want to carry it. Hope this helps!
I had the same bright idea at one point. However I would advise against, as I've found the knives wear the lockbar differently and as you switch between it creates play in the "new" blade, as well as some lockstick. It could also potentially wear the lockbar face down to the point where both blades don't fit properly. If you do decide to go for it pay the 125$ and have CRK fit the blade to your knife so you won't have any issues!
Plus now you have a good reason/excuse to buy an additional Sebenza!![]()
