Can it be done or are the blade too different? Was thinking of swaping my small micarta insingo with my plain jane 21 (just for sheets and gigs).

I actually called CRK about this last week and they told me it's $125.00, and to send the knife to them. They will swap the washers and the blade and make sure it fits perfectly, then send it back with your other washers and blade in case you want to swap it again. I'm going to do this instead of buying a new Sebenza, because mine is sentimental to me and I still want to carry it. Hope this helps!

I'm going to do this with my large tanto micarta. Really want a clip point!

I had the same bright idea at one point. However I would advise against, as I've found the knives wear the lockbar differently and as you switch between it creates play in the "new" blade, as well as some lockstick. It could also potentially wear the lockbar face down to the point where both blades don't fit properly. If you do decide to go for it pay the 125$ and have CRK fit the blade to your knife so you won't have any issues!

Ya I read a different thread with someone who purchased a CRK from another user who had swapped the blade themselves, and the lockup was at like 5% and basically useless, he sent the knife back to CRK and they basically said he'd have to pay $125.00 to have a new blade fitted cause the blade the previous owner had swapped in didn't fit properly--definitely send the knife to CRK for the swap so they can mate the two--tight tolerances!! I love my insingo blade, but after using it for a while, I want to try the drop point blade!

Thanks guys. I've decided I'm not going to mess with this one. Just sounds like a bad idea now.
