Ive had many high end knives over the years , and at one point was ready to just give up collecting due to the fact that i could never find one that was totaly flawless. ive always wondered why i could buy a high end watch or pen that was flawless but not a knife. so i just accepted the fact that i was never going to own a flawless folder. I mean they all had something wrong( such as the blade not being centered, the grinds being off, metal shavings caught in the liner lock, metal burs on some parts etc etc.....) SO i bought a sebenza and it was completly flawless..i mean 100 percent flawless, i dont know how chris sells these for only 305 bucks. everything on this knife was perfect, its just unreal. If i ever lose everything and end up homeless this chris reeve sebenza would be the last thing to go. I know you have all heard how great these knives are, but you will never understand it till you actually own one, it becomes your best friend who will never let you down and only requires a little lube once in a while. I know 305 bucks might seem like alot but its really not, if i lost my sebbie tomarrow, id think nothing of calling reeves knives and ordering another one, i think 305 is a bargan for such quality.

The gospel truth right there. Until you own and use one of these fine folders you won't really know what we are talking about. I'm glad to here you are enjoying your knife, welcome to the ranks of the Sebenzanistas!

It makes me sick to think of all the money I wasted over the years on inferior knives. I wish I had bought my first Sebenza sooner.

You're right on the money with that statement. You just can't beat quality and you can beat CRK for quality.

The one thing I've noticed is that before if I saw a knife I really liked up for trade, I'd take a look at one of my EDC's and think "Yeah, this one can go, since I can always get another." But since I first started to EDC one of my Sebenzas, I've pulled one out to think about trading it, then stared at it...touched the edge...opened and closed it...and repeated. Then finally realized, there's no way that other knife is better, or will make me happier than my Sebenza.

Obviously the reason why I now have fewer knives, but am not feeling at all "blade deprived". geegee

i've owned a sebenza once, but eventually traded it off, cuz basically the knife sucked.. lol!! gotcha!! actually you sebenzanistas are really beginning to sell me on this thing. hopefully there'll be one at the knife show in buena park, CA so i can actually handle one of these fabled knives. i'll keep my fingers crossed.

you're right about not even customs being perfect.. but then again, i'd probably end up "perfecting" even a sebbie with some 600-1500 grit sandpaper in various spots.. i'd probably "lochsa" the blade with a longitudinal satin finish. mmmmm sounds good.

I often compared the Sebenza as a Disease or a Virus...

Once you touch one of these babies, you get addicted to their EXCELLENCE.

cheers

What else is there to say, sebenzas are just pure perfection. Out of all the other knives ive handled each had a little something wrong with each. small stuff but still an imperfection. But the sebenza is completly flawless. Not much to say that hasent been said, chris makes some awesome knives and has raised the bar for anyone maker who wants to compete in the high end knife world. Hes in the league of ferrari, rolex, and the rest of ultra high end products.
