Sebenza lock bar

On the lock bar of the sebenza there is a small ball that fits into a detente on the blade to hold it closed - do any of you know what it is made of - and how is it held in there?

The ball is ceramic and I believe it is popped into place.

The ball bearing detent at the linerlock(s) was introduced by Michael Walker long time ago (just for the record).
