Sebenza Love Bite

My small classic Sebenza gave me the first bite yesterday. More of a nip actually but what surprised me is that it happened with the knife closed.

I was carrying it in my right front pocket and was pushing it in deeper while sitting in a bus. I was pressing the back of the closed knife with the side of my middle finger tip and got a quarter inch long cut. Not too deep but it did hurt and bleed, so it was more than a scratch.

Well, blood bonds the blade to the owner.

Yikes...not a good thing.
I used to tell people when they examined my Sebenzas if they'd like to play it like a harmonica....run that tongue into that blade, always made them wince!

I carry other knives in the pocket and Sebenzas on the belt, but no matter what you need to be careful with an open backed knife...

Glad to hear it wasn't a vicious cut!

I think that the Sebenza's might be revolting against their owners here. I just got bit Thursday night while I was sharpening my small regular. Not much fun, lost a small chunk of my left index finger.
