Hey there folks, I had a few questions for all of you Sebenza lovers and owners out there. I have a large Sebenza 21 CF, and I love it, but I am not a fan of lanyards, so I removed mine, but unfortunately it leaves another hole in the knife, which I liked having the blue plug there, but it won't stay without the lanyard obviously, so I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any plugs or spacers that anyone makes that I could use to fill this void. Probably a log shot but I thought I'd ask. And also I am not a huge fan of the numb stud because I like larger ones, specifically barrel style. I like the blue, but not the thumb stud style. So I was wondering if anyone knew where I might find one to swap in? If anyone has any ideas or knows anything please let me know. Thank you all have a great week.

You could try melting some paracord on the blue pin to keep it in place. Just gut it, pull it through and melt it on there :)

I would take a piece of fun colored paracord (red, black, whatever), gut it so it is flat, then run it through the hole and around the outside in an S-pattern, so the ends start and end in the tube and colored flat cord appears running around the pin. Use a tiny bit of glue to secure where it is tucked in. This will be the nicest appearing way to do this and easy to undo.

Perhaps an appropriate length stand-off from one of the knife parts companies. I used one I had around here on a small Seb I had that came without the lanyard plug and I wanted to fill the holes.

Why isn't there a cleaner solution, than melting paracord into the pin?

I would think that someone, by now, would make a stepped pin that users could install in their large Sebenzas. Something about melting plastic into the parts of a $400 knife doesn't seem right :o

There is a cleaner solution. Go to an electronics store and buy a tube of appropriately sized clear (or black, or whatever colour), thin style, heat shrink tubing. Shrink it over the whole pin, then cut away the part that fits in the slab.

Just get two or three tiny orings that fit tight right onto the pin. Non-visible, clean, and reversable.

My suggestion involved no melting and would look clean and nice.

I feel like melting the paracord is a clean solution. It is what CRK does to the ends of their paracord after all...

How about an epoxy solution?
Take the knife apart, put some clear tape on the front scale over the hole and turn around.
Mix some epoxy glue with glow powder and fill the hole, let dry.
The remove the clear tape and you have a glow-dot. Nice touch if you like to locate you Sebenza in darkness.
Flashlite geeks do this and they do also know where do buy the glow-powder.
