About a week ago, I posted a thread in the general forum stating I was in the market for a sub 3 inch folder, and asking if I should get an Emerson cqc14 or a Strider PT. I already own several Emersons and was interested in the Strider, but just don't think I'd like the choil. Since I couldn't decide between the two, I just ordered a small plain clasic 21. (I know, it doesn't make much sense, but that's the way my knife buying goes.) Just love my large blue puppy paws too much and figured it needed a smaller sibling.

It's been a big week. Also upgraded my membership to gold status, and bought a $7.95 Chinese Lansky knife that is surpising me so far...

Not sure why that's an "Oops".

You can't go wrong with Sebenza,
(especially with your "Gold" membership).:D

The only problem I have with the small Seb
is I can only get 3 fingers on the side opposite my thumb.
Doesn't feel secure in my large hands.
I can see why many folks prefer it for an EDC though.

I have a small reg. Seb which I prefer over the
newer classic styles, but will always grab the Lg. Reg. first.

Congrats! Let us know how you like it. -Ron

440, my hands are on the large side too, which is why I bought a large for my first Sebenza. However, I like to carry a smaller knife at work. I'll wait and see if I like the small. I have a 3 fingered knife that is so comfortable to me, it took awhile to realize I was only using three fingers.

Congrats on the Sebbie!! Ii dunno what the ooops is, as you can't go wrong with a Sebenza. Why don't you get a small Dog Paws Sebbie? I LOVE mine.

The oops is: I feel bad about wasting peoples time with my thread about the other two knives, then buying neither knife. No regrets on getting another Sebenza at all. As for another blue paws, if I like the small, a small paws will be my next Sebenza.

Don't worry about it man. We're just glad you chose a sebenza. Put it this way, now you know more about those two knives and if that question raises from somebody else, you can now help them. Or talk them into a sebenza:p

Ha! I was gonna buy that Lansky last week but figured, why waste my money, even though it did seem pretty solid and I kept thinking about it all day. I'll probably go bust a ten'er on it tomorrow. Thanks!

OOOOO boy, the Sebenza is marked as out for delivery. Got the morning off to wait for its arrival. Oh man, I seem to get excited when waiting for Sebenza's. Have a good day all, I know I will.

side note: that Lansky has blade play, but I'm impressed that I was easily able to get a hair shaving edge on a $7.95 knife and it seems to be holding the edge well.

Well, my Sebenza is here, and to say I'm happy is an understatement. My large dawg paws was not sharp in the belly area and I spent some time getting it right. This new knife is a different story. May be my sharpest out of the box knife I have. No fine tuning necessary. And I don't have to say the blade is perfectly centered and the lockup solid as all get out. The handle is slightly small for my fairly large hand, but it is still comfortable.
