This is the knife I use everyday. I love the silver fly engraving. This is the best foldingknife I have ever had in my pocket.

I have a high polished Fly....I love it as well.

Great knife and great pics Snowman !!

Snowman,
That Damascus blade is beautiful. Is it of the stainless variety? I've heard that can be done now.

No, the blade is not stainless. Chris Reeve calls it Spirograph Damascus. I love this knife!!

That's something you don't see everyday!
An actual used sebenza....decorated, no less!

I personally think that sebbies age really
nicely, it's just that initial conversion
from 'new' to 'used' that's the most painful.

Snowman,
I've gone back to your pictures about 10 times. I'm planning on purchasing a Sebenza, but it will be the knife I carry every day. (At least ONE of the knives I carry every day.

) It probably will be relagated to "light duty". However, it will be a "user". That beautiful, hypnotic damascas blade, it just stays in your safe, right? Not used for actually cutting anything, correct? I don't mean to ask dumb questions, it's just that I have to actually USE a great knife for something. The ones that I have under glass seem to offend me somehow. I've collected for a long time (not just knives but fine pocket pistols also), I've came to the conclusion that beautiful things should be used. I do admit that it makes me feel a little badly when my new handmade Seecamp .32ACP gets a new scratch on it. I still feel that beautiful things should be used. I'm also quite sure that "several" other collectors will strongly disagree.

First I would like to say that I have used all of my knives. The Pheasant Tail Sebenza with the Spirograph Damascus blade I use in my home office for opening letters, cutting leather +++. This is actually a very god using knife, but because of the price and the look I would never take this knife outside my office.

The beauty of the Chris Reeve Sebenza is that they are all knives you can use. When I choose my Sebenza I asked Anne for advice. Originally I wanted a Sebenza with a Damascus steel blade. Anne told me that the BG 42 steel would outperforme the damascus steel. Since I am a dedicated Flyfisher and Flytier I wanted the Pheasant Tail engraved on the handle. Anne told me that the coloured Pheasant Tail would not tolorate blood, acid++++. So I chose a plain Sebenza with a silver Pheasant Tail fly. I also had my name engraved on the handle. This is "my" knife. I will never sell it. If you buy the Sebenza you will never get disapointed!! Just choose what you like.
