Some of you folks might know that I'm a motorcycle enthusiast. While I practice safe riding protocols, my worst dream came true last Saturday. It's said that "it's not 'if' you go down, but, rather, 'when' you go down".
Without going into all the gory details, I had to brake suddenly for a motorist crossing in front of me at a residential intersection. I locked up my front wheel, which caused the bike to tip to the ground on the right. As it was sliding about 17 yards into the intersection, I slid with it about 6-8 feet on my right side. It really hurt, I thought I had broken my right hip. Turns out, I sprained my pelvis. My leather jacket saved my arm, shoulder and hip area
I think it hurt so bad, because I was carrying my large sebenza in my back pocket, I had a Leatherman belted to my right hip, and I was carrying my 9mm on my right hip, too. All those tools made contact with my hip as I hit the ground. Miraculously, non of those item were ejected as I slid forward.
After I got home and surveyed the damage, I looked at my Sebenza and was amazed that the clip was scratched, and twisted out of its pocket. And it never left my pocket. I think that's a pretty good testimonial for the integrity of the Sebenza pocket clip.
I loosened the pocket clip screw, moved the clip back into position and re-tightened--good to go!
